Newcastle upon Tyne has been a Fairtrade City since 2003. The Newcastle Fairtrade Partnership is an organisation which supports and promotes Fairtrade in Newcastle.

Newcastle Fairtrade Partnership have recently developed a useful directory containing the location of many stores, cafés, restaurants, charities and organisations that stock Fairtrade goods and proudly support the Fairtrade movement.

The directory can also be viewed as a map, filterable by products or locations. The Fairtrade directory encompasses Newcastle city centre and nearby neighbourhoods including Heaton, Jesmond, Fenham, Walker, Byker and Elswick.

How to join the Fairtrade Directory

Newcastle Fairtrade Partnership update this directory several times a year. As we emerge from the pandemic, the Partnership aims to broaden its membership and hear from every organisation in the Newcastle area which sells, promotes or supports Fairtrade.

This applies to:

• Any shop, including charity or church shops, selling Fairtrade goods
• Any business selling Fairtrade products - no matter how big or small! 
• Any Fairtrade school
• Any Fairtrade place of worship
• Any campaigning group that promotes ethical food choices, including Fairtrade
• Any individual who supports Fairtrade and wants to promote it.
